Delicate materials require special care

Our clothes are made from carefully selected yarns – those that will provide special comfort for the whole family.
To maintain their properties and durability, we have some simple tips for you on how to care for them!
  • Rule number 1: Wash less!

Things made of merino wool do not require frequent washing. Just air them out! As this material is antibacterial and does not absorb odors, there is no need to wash blankets or clothes before first use. Wash off individual dirt in spots. Washing is required primarily when you plan to store merino wool products in one place for a longer period of time - this will protect them from moths.

  • Knitwear requires hand washing.

Wash handmade products made of merino wool and organic cotton in a bowl of cold water. Use water of the same temperature for rinsing. Forget about powder, stain removers or softeners. A nourishing liquid with lanolin or a delicate children's shampoo will be perfect for this care ritual. Remember that clothes or blankets made of natural fibers do not like being wrung out, rubbed or soaked for too long, which damages them.

  • Dry flat.

Avoid drying woolen items vertically, on radiators or in the sun. After washing, squeeze (but do not wring!) your product in a cotton towel. Shape it and spread it on a dry towel to dry. After some time, turn it over to facilitate drying. Remember that wool will straighten itself when worn, so you do not need to iron it. If necessary, use the lowest iron temperature.

  • Sweater balls are ok!

In the case of merino wool, pilling, or the so-called pilling, is a natural process that proves that it was created naturally without the use of chemicals. The solution to this small imperfection is a sweater shaver. After one or two close shaves, the peeling will stop. Remember that shaving should be done without pressing the razor against the fabric, on a flat and even surface, so as not to damage the weave.

  • Wash consciously.

We always recommend hand washing woolen fabrics to have more control over the process. The hand wash or delicate wash program is not a wool wash program. Improper temperature of the water used by the washing machine for rinsing may lead to shrinkage and felting of the knitted fabric. It is important that your washing machine is checked as we cannot be held responsible for any faults.
